ABSTRACT
Lotus japonicus is a model legume used by researchers worldwide to study nodulation and other aspects of biology. We investigated 15 morphological traits in large collection wild L. accessions collected Japan, also analyzed the genetic diversity among them, order develop core based on genome-wide SSR polymorphisms. found wide accessions. A total 321 putative alleles were detected using 25 primer pairs. The average observed expected heterozygosity scores for individual loci 0.014 0.772, respectively, indicating high degree homozygosity. divided into 9 clusters GST’ STRUCTURE analyses. In addition, we selected 20 serve as representative analysis. range was that entire collection. This will be useful studies data obtained this species should lead numerous practical applications crop legumes.
