ABSTRACT
Proline-hydroxyproline (Pro-Hyp) stimulated hyaluronic acid production in cultured synovium cells. It was detected guinea pig blood after oral ingestion of collagen hydrolysates. Oral administration hydrolysates increased the amount proteoglycans epiphyses. also reduced morphological changes associated with osteoarthritic cartilage destruction knee joint. The results suggest that have therapeutic potential for treatment osteoarthritis.
