ABSTRACT
For transient stability analysis, the direct method runs fast but with poor accuracy due to over-simplification of component models; time-domain simulation is accurate time-consuming and thus not suitable for online application.In this paper, results Potential Energy Boundary Surface (PEBS) applied on examples actual system calculation are analyzed, range error discussed.Via complementarity method, a new hybrid proposed: in critical clearing time (CCT), result used as initial value then employed further search, which can meet requirements application terms speed.Based power dynamic security assessment early warning (the PDSA), solving three-phase short-circuit CCT East China 500 kV grid, detailed analysis presented.The engineering practice testifies enhancement speed accuracy.
