ABSTRACT
HCV virus has been shown to induce insulin resistance (IR) itself. The aim of this work: was evaluate HCV-induced IR in Egyptian cirrhotic patients after LDLT and correlate the occurrence with level HCV-RNA viremia status disease recurrence post LDLT. 67 had received from November 2010 2012. 17 them were included prospective research by following criteria :1) Patients related End Stage Liver Disease , who eligible for liver transplantation . 2) an estimate using HOMA-IR more than or equal 2 +/- [impaired fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and/or impaired oral tolerance test (OGTT)] .Patients followed up schedule : FPG OGTT HOMA routinely done 3 6 12 months RNA PCR performed 1 follow Protocol biopsies taken median value showed reduction during first year which not significant at (p = 0.055) highly =0.002) again 0.028) Recurrence HCVdisease documented histologically 9 (52.9%) 10 (58.8%) There no statistically relation between values either histological To our knowledge is study that conducted on recipients. improved
