ABSTRACT
The term inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) refers to a group of idiopathic, chronic intestinal characterized by diffuse infiltration cells into the lamina propria intestine. pathogenesis IBD is unknown. most common signs described are diarrhoea, vomit, and progressive weight loss. In order make definitive diagnosis, though, presence must be evident on histopathologic analysis. therapeutic approach has 2 main goals: decrease response remove possible antigenic sources, such as food components or microflora. Therefore, therapy association Prednisone with single protein diet, especially when severe. Another way reduce stimulation control microflora, so antibiotics pre/ probiotics may used. This retrospective study tested compared value specific diets, used combined together. results show significative clinical improvement in dogs fed hydrolized diets rather than novel diets. Finally, fish more reliable source use during therapy, because its low ability trigger an reaction.
