ABSTRACT
The objective of this paper is to review recent developments in service theory and systems with a view identifying common features between the two. In particular, study explores issue whether so-called ‘smart systems’ can be understood terms ‘viable approach’ theory. begins by examining fundamental principles service-dominant logic (S-D logic) science (SS). similarities differences two are explored, particular emphasis on feature system. then moves realm exploring main proposals viable approach (VSA), which an interdisciplinary that includes elements derived from resource-based theory, biology, sociology, mechanics. draws together best systems.’ most important finding VSA provides valuable insights into design management smart systems, especially regard harmonisation, governance, successful value co-creation processes.
