ABSTRACT
Bartonella henselae is the causative agent of cat scratch disease (CSD) in humans. Cats are main reservoir this bacterium and may infect humans through scratches bites. The purpose study was to determine B. seroprevalence cats Turkey. A total 298 blood samples were collected from six different provinces Sera tested for presence anti-B. IgG antibodies by indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFA). 27.9% (83/298) examined study. province significantly higher Bursa (41.3%), Adana (33.9%), Aydin (27.5%) Burdur (32.3%) than Kayseri (17.9%) Istanbul (12.5%).
