ABSTRACT
The microvasculature of bovine corpora lutea during pregnancy was studied by scanning electron microscopy using corrosion casts. Only one spiral arteriole branched directly from the ovarian artery entered blood vascular bed pregnant lutea. consisted numerous lobular sinusoidal capillary plexuses pregnancy, and were characteristic to a large corpus luteum. At late stage arteriovenous anastomoses situated within plexus composed thin capillaries. These may induce decrease in flow plexus, suggesting that they have an important role initial degeneration
