ABSTRACT
Pregnant Wistar rats were divided into 3 groups, non-operated control, adrenalectomized, and adrenalectomized corticosterone-treated. Maternal adrenalectomy was performed on day 6 of gestation. Corticosterone therapy made from the at operation to observation. The growth pattern insulin-producing B-cells observed immunohistochemically histometrically days 12 16. results obtained as follows: From 15, maternal resulted in a significant retardation insulin-positive terms collective volume cells. corticosterone prevented this retardation. On 16, however, overcame suppressive effect adrenalectomy. These suggest that lack adrenocortical hormones causes B-cell early development, that, when once developed well, can grow independently hormones.
