ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to determine effect 8 weeks pre-season training on body composition, physical fitness, anaerobic capacity, and isokinetic strength in collegiate taekwondo athletes. Thirty-four athletes (male: 22, female: 12) participated. Body bone mineral density, muscle were tested. After statistical analysis performed results indicated that there significant decreases weight, percent fat, fat tissue after training. Bone density increased significantly only males. There improvements 50 m shuttle run 20 multistage endurance both males females. sit & reach test standing long jump not changed weeks. Relative peak power capacity improved Significant increases angular velocity observed for knee extension at % BW 60°/sec 180°/sec A increase seen right flexion males, but it decreased In conclusion, this suggests has a positive muscular strength, endurance. Nevertheless, an exercise approach with goal increasing lean tissue, improving flexors flexibility athletes, should be included program. Keywords: Physical Anaerobic Isokinetic Taekwondo
