ABSTRACT
Background: Suprasorb Liquacel Pro (standard test dressing) and Ag (test dressing with silver nanoparticles) are absorptive gelling-fibre dressings designed to manage wound exudate levels promote moist healing, the latter having additional antimicrobial properties. Aims: To assess impact of on signs infection. Methods: Patients moderately-to-highly exuding hard-to-heal wounds any type were dressed standard or nanoparticles if they showed covert overt local Comparative data collected at baseline 4-week conclusion. Adverse events patient professional opinions also reported collated. Findings: There 19 patients lower-limb various types present for a mean 26 months. At baseline, most deteriorating static (68%), while conclusion improving healed (84%), indicators improved healing. The number moderate-to-high decreased from 84% 53%. 15 using saw reductions in infection 93% 80%, 33% 13% antibiotic use 7%. Conclusions: On average, effective managing reducing barriers including high exudate, biofilm, restarting stalled
