ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to clarify the degree early postnatal growth by birthweight and detect predictive factors for pediatric obesity.Body mass index (BMI) obesity were examined in children fourth year elementary school second junior high school.Their BMI at birth three years age also examined.Based on birthweight, participants divided into groups: low (< 2500 g), middle (2500-3500 (> 3500 g).Furthermore, according obesity, they two obese (20% ≤) non-obese >).The change from (ΔBMI) showed a strong inverse relationship with significantly different among groups (low > high).The ΔBMI higher than significant positive correlations obesity.Early might be determined children.The could obesity.
