ABSTRACT
Athyreus MacLeay, 1819 is one of the most diverse genera within Athyreini, with 45 species in Central and South America; 24 are recorded from Brazil. Here, we describe a remarkable multi-horned species, joseferreirai sp. nov. Brazil, illustrations male holotype female paratype map for type locality. The A. has seven horns pronotum, character not observed any its congener species.
