Numerical analysis of interface crack problem in composite plates jointed with composite patch

Stress intensity factors are numerically investigated for interfacial edge crack between two dissimilar composite plates jointed with single side patch. Variation of stress factor under Mode I loading condition is examined different material models and fiber orientation angles ANSYS 12.1 finite element analysis software used to obtain displacements surfaces in the numerical solution repaired modeled three dimensions. Obtained results presented form graphs. It found that angle composites an effective parameter on factor.
