ABSTRACT
Gelled propellants and their specific properties are of interest for both rocket ramjet applications due to the capability implementation a freely adjustable thrust control in combination with easy handling high operational safety. The performance flexibility storage characteristics merges major advantages liquid solid propulsion systems. At Institute Space Propulsion, German Aerospace Center (DLR), basic research on development, rheology, flow behaviour, spray combustion gels is performed. This paper provides general overview activities presents recent achievements.
