ABSTRACT
Aim: The World Breastfeeding Trends Initiative (WBTi) serves to assess implementation of national infant and young child feeding policies, programs practices. Results the assessment are published on WBTi website. So far, 100 countries have produced a report, including Croatia in 2015 2024. In this paper we present 2024 results for Republic Croatia. Methods: A multidisciplinary working group was formed from members Croatian Ministry Health National Committee. ten policy program indicators were scored 0 10, whereas practice presented as percentages or absolute numbers. draft report sent 12 partner organisations with an interest feeding. Based their feedback, revised, translated into English office validation. Results: received total score 66.5 its policies programs, placing it third Europe. Highest scores obtained 'National policy, governance funding' 'Maternity protection'. Lowest 'Infant HIV' during emergencies'. Positive practices related introduction complementary foods initiation breastfeeding within one hour birth. Exclusive rates, avoidance bottle median duration low. Conclusion: 'Call action' is needed order improve
