ABSTRACT
To study the pollution characteristics, sources, and transportation process of PM2.5 its chemical compositions in Zhengzhou-Xinxiang region, samples were collected using a middle volume sampler, Zhengzhou Xinxiang urban areas for 30 consecutive days during winter 2016. The mass concentration was measured gravimetrically. 17 trace metals determined by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), 7 water-soluble ions ion chromatography. enrichment factor (EF) method principal component analysis employed to determine source apportionment. results showed that daily mean sampling period 2016 223.87 μg·m-3 226.67 μg·m-3, respectively, which indicated levels relatively high both cities. three macro elements (Al, Ca, Fe) accounted 50% total metal cities, while heavy higher than Zhengzhou. EFs Cd, Ag, Pb far 1000, only Cd 1000 NO3-, SO42-, NH4+ main two They exceeded 94% existed forms (NH4)2SO4 NH4NO3. principle contributors mixture biomass combustion secondary aerosol Xinxiang, coal traffic emissions Zhengzhou, accounting 34.94% 33.99% emissions, respectively.
