ABSTRACT
The Umbrella Movement, which took place in Hong Kong between 26 September and 15 December 2014, was indisputably a defining moment the former colony. authors argue that Movement not single, contingent political incident. Rather it represented structural change Hongkongers' perceived relations with Chinese government, deeply connected of specific cultural, economic factors pertinent to society past three decades. In conclusion, suggest cultural perception closing-in central government's power is key determinant Kong–China relations.
