ABSTRACT
The construction of a lunar base is considered to be giant step for the deep-space exploration by human beings. in situ utilization resource essential realization this ambitious plan. In study, composition, crystal structure, melting, and fiberization behaviors soil simulant were investigated an effort develop continuous fibre address material requirements building base. results showed that chemical mineral composition similar those basalt roes on Earth, could completely melted at 1332°C. structure was homogenized transformed into amorphous glass state when quenched water. Using spinning facility, filaments obtained using as raw material. tensile strength more than 1400 MPa, which comparable with commercial fibre. These confirmed feasibility prepare
