ABSTRACT
Multiwavelength photo-magnetic imaging (PMI) is a novel combination of diffuse optics and magnetic resonance imaging, to the best our knowledge, that yields tissue chromophore concentration maps with high resolution quantitative accuracy. Here, we present first experimental results, obtained using spectrally constrained PMI image reconstruction method, where are directly recovered, unlike conventional two-step approach requires an intermediate step reconstructing wavelength-dependent absorption coefficient maps. The imposition prior spectral information into inverse problem improves reconstructed quality allows recovery highly maps, which crucial for effective cancer detection characterization. results demonstrate higher performance direct method. Indeed, not only but also approximately 2 times faster than
