ABSTRACT
Herein, a low-frequency broadband multilayer metamaterial absorber (MMA) based on resistive frequency selective surfaces (RFSSs) is proposed, which consists of three-layer RFSS, polymethacrylimide (PMI) foam substrates, and copper film. The proposed has the advantages ultra-broadband absorption with absorptivity more than 90% ranging from 1.91 to 20.78 GHz, covers entire S, C, X, Ku bands thickness 0.102λL (where λL corresponds wavelength lowest operating frequency). performance can keep good stability in wide angular range for both TE TM modes. Moreover, prototype MMA fabricated experimentally measured demonstrate its excellent performance. experimental results show consistency numerical simulations.
