ABSTRACT
On-chip polarization management components play a critical role in tackling dependence the lithium-niobate-on-insulator (LNOI) platform. In this work, we proposed reconfigurable TE-pass polarizer based on optical phase change material (GST) and LNOI wafer. The key region is formed by hybrid GST-Si3N4 layer symmetrically deposited atop centerline of waveguide along propagation direction where GST sandwiched middle Si3N4 layer. Whether will take effect depends states graphene aluminum oxide layers are coated as microheater to control conversion states. device length 7.5 µm with an insertion loss (IL)=0.22 dB extinction ratio (ER)=32.8 at wavelength 1550 nm. Moreover, it also has high ER (>25dB) low IL (<0.5dB) operating bandwidth 200 Such high-performance paves new way for applications photonics integrated circuits.
