ABSTRACT
In this paper we propose an omnidirectional large field-optical antenna with a dual-mirror structure and field devices demonstrate its utilization in ultraviolet (UV) communications. Theoretical analysis shows that it is suitable for short-range UV communication. Simulation indicates the optical gain 32, system has good spot uniformity. Additionally, incident angles of ray meet requirement interference filter (±10°). Outdoor experiments show angle FOV range ±20°~±80° SNR increase 31 dB compared bare tube observed, demonstrating effectiveness free-space
