ABSTRACT
A single silica-shell isolated Au-Ag alloy nanoparticle is used for investigating a metal-enhanced fluorescence effect. Well-dispersed nanoparticles are prepared by the facile chemical method, and property of local surface plasmon resonance controlled adjusting metal component shell thickness. The distance dependence enhancement studied systematically with different silica thickness ranging from 2 to 35 nm. isolation not only adjusts between fluorophore emitters but also improves stability particle.
