Ultrafast laser direct writing and nanostructuring in transparent materials

ABSTRACT
An overview of recent achievements in the field femtosecond laser writing transparent materials is presented. Thanks to unique properties light–matter interaction on ultrashort time scale, this direct technique has led observation phenomena, including nonreciprocal and anisotropic photosensitivity, allowed engineering novel photonic devices.
