ABSTRACT
A hollow waveguide array with subwavelength dimensions is demonstrated as a polarization converter. An individual in the has rectangular cross-section, which leads to an anisotropy of propagation constants and therefore phase shift between vertical horizontal field components upon propagation. The was fabricated by two-photon polymerization process followed electrochemical deposition gold. consists about 2000×2500 cells, each 1150 nm×930 nm height 2 μm. With these dimensions, structure can, for example, be used at wavelength 1550 nm. Other wavelengths shifts are accessible changing cross-section height. Since widths waveguides variable, space-variant operation can implemented.
