ABSTRACT
We present a novel scheme to simultaneously detect coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) microscopy signals in the forward (F) and backward (epi - E) direction with single avalanche photodiode (APD) detector using time-correlated photon counting (TCSPC). By installing mirror at well-defined distance above sample forward-scattered F-CARS signal is reflected back into microscope objective leading spatial overlap of F E-CARS signals. Due traveling an additional time delayed relative signal. TCSPC then allows for two be resolved domain. This results efficient, simple, compact method CARS detection. demonstrate this technique by analyzing obtained imaging living adipocyte cells derived from human mesenchymal stem cells.
