ABSTRACT
The transmittance of phosphor-in-glass (PIG) color converter material was studied as a factor affecting the luminescence properties light emitting diode packaging; it is closely related to residual pores sintered glass. In this study, correlation between porosity and optical glass PIG plates investigated. transmittance, properties, were measured by UV-visible spectrometer, integrating sphere scanning electron microscope, respectively. Transmittance plate luminous efficacy both increase with decreased porosity, while scattering coefficient decreases. Luminescence such emission intensity coordinates are also influenced plate.
