ABSTRACT
We report on the fabrication and evaluation of a sharp tip negative axicon paving way for applications in high-power ultrashort pulsed laser systems. The is manufactured by applying two-step all laser-based process chain consisting ablation CO2 polishing finishing component less than 5 minutes. finalized reveals surface roughness 18 nm, fulfilling optical quality. Two measurement setups, including itself, are used to evaluate formation Bessel beams detail. By focusing lens behind axicon, well-developed generated while their lengths depend distance between lens. Furthermore, diameter increase strongly with propagation distance. adding second lens, at its focal position, being almost invariant position. Hence, typical beam intensity distribution observed over an entire moving range this 300 mm. While these show superior quality terms peaks homogeneous concentric rings, only minor deviations range.
