ABSTRACT
Bound states in the continuum (BICs) have been widely observed many symmetric geometries optical system during last decade. Here, we consider a scenario which structure is designed asymmetrically with anisotropic birefringent material embedded one-dimensional photonic crystals. This kind of new shape opens possibility obtaining symmetry-protected BICs (SP-BICs) and Friedrich–Wintgen (FW-BICs) form tunable anisotropy axis tilt. Interestingly, these can be as high-Q resonances by variation system’s parameters, such incident angle, means without being injected at Brewster's angle also achieve BICs. Our findings might active regulation are easy to manufacture.
