Generation and characterization of intense terahertz pulses from DSTMS crystal

ABSTRACT
Matter manipulation in terahertz range calls for a strong-field broadband light source. Here, we present scheme intense generation from DSTMS crystal driven by high power optical parametric chirped pulse amplifier. The generated energy is up to 175 µJ with peak electric field of 17 MV/cm. relationship between energy, conversion efficiency, and pump fluence demonstrated. This study provides powerful driving source pump-probe experimentation.
