ABSTRACT
In this paper, we demonstrate a simplified one-to-many scheme for efficient mid-infrared (MIR) parametric conversion. Such is based on continuous wave (CW) single longitudinal mode master oscillator power-amplifier (MOPA) fiber system as the signal source and picosecond pulsed MOPA system, exhibiting multiple modes, pump source. The beams are combined co-coupled into piece of 50-mm long 5% MgO-doped PPLN crystal As high ∼3.82 W average power at central idler wavelength ∼3.4 µm achieved when launched powers ∼41.73 ∼11.45 W, respectively. Above some threshold value, delivered shows roll-over effect against saturation-like power. Consequently, highest conversion efficiency observed such To best our knowledge, result represents produced from any single-pass with >3 feeding CW signal. Moreover, proposed can simplify design significantly meanwhile make more robust in applications. This attributed to two main aspects. Firstly, scheme’s feature reduce sensitivity remarkably realization quasi-phase-matching. Secondly, moderate requirement it does not always require peak synchronized source; one be an alternative, thereby making free complex time synchronization related jitter.
