ABSTRACT
In this paper, a polarization-insensitive high transmittance bandpass filter with low radar cross section (RCS) in both S- and X-band is proposed. This the first study to use partition layout loading approach for conformal structures transmissive windows, reducing operating band RCS. Curved have stronger radiation at smaller angle incident wave, that how their scattering differs from uniform flat structures. The structure divided by analyzing radiative contribution of different regions. surface was discussed regions according angles, new method used suppress side currents decreased backward scattering, achieving RCS reduction more than 10 dB 4-8 GHz (66.7%). layer 6.9 designed through equivalent circuit theory. combination lossy layer, absorption above 0.8 3.7-5.6 9.1-12.5 achieved. Further, fashioned into curved varying curvature, demonstrating its effective transmission properties across curvatures. A 15 × cell fabricated, there good agreement between test results simulation results. proposed has important applications radomes, structures, electromagnetic shielding.
