ABSTRACT
Polarization imaging techniques have been effective in improving the clarity of turbid underwater images affected by water scattering. These offer valuable additional information compared to traditional methods. However, previous descattering methods mostly designed for targets with uniform distribution polarimetric characteristics. Therefore, complex polarization characteristics non-uniform when dealing such problems, parameter estimation errors can limit results image recovery. This paper proposes what we believe is a novel approach address this issue. The method involves obtaining new set using vector space transformation method. angle (AOP) target reflected light estimated additivity law Stokes vector. then combined physical model recover Experimental conducted under varying levels turbidity validate effectiveness proposed Moreover, significantly broadens range application scenarios.
