Chirped mPOF Bragg grating for strain sensing

We demonstrate a chirped microstructured polymer fiber Bragg grating based on taper technology for strain sensing application. The effective bandwidth of the is dependent and remains practically constant irrespective humidity changes. Besides wavelength shift measurement in temperature stable conditions with 9.02 pm/µe sensitivity, faster measurements under fluctuations condition can be done by measuring grating.
