ABSTRACT
We present a novel needle-based device for the measurement of refractive index and scattering using low-coherence interferometry. Coupled to sample arm an optical coherence tomography system, detects response of, path length through, residing in fixed-width channel. report use make near-infrared measurements tissues materials with known properties. The could be used exploit variations tissue medical biological diagnostics accessible by needle insertion.
