ABSTRACT
In this Letter, we report an octave-spanning mid-infrared (MIR) comb generation with a difference frequency (DFG) approach optimized for aperiodically poled Mg:LiNbO3 and nonlinear spectral broadening. An Er:fiber is delivered to two branches amplified in Yb:fiber amplifier, respectively. We demonstrate that the two-branch DFG can yield spectrum tuned over octave fan-out periodically lithium niobate. Thus, obtain poling period profile design Mg:LiNbO3. The results broadband combs be generated MIR atmospheric window.
