ABSTRACT
The erbium-doped lithium niobate on insulator (Er:LNOI) platform has great promise in the application of telecommunication, microwave photonics, and quantum due to its excellent electro-optic, piezo-electric, nonlinear nature, as well gain characteristics telecommunication C-band. Here, we report a single-frequency Er:LNOI integrated laser based dual-cavity structure. Facilitated by Vernier effect competition, can operate stably at 1531 nm wavelength with 1484 pump laser. output power 0.31 µW, linewidth 1.2 MHz, side mode suppression ratio 31 dB. Our work allows direct integration this source existing LNOI components paves way for fully system.
