ABSTRACT
We present a numerical study on 2D array of plasmonic structures covered by subwavelength film. explain the origin surface lattice resonances (SLRs) using coupled dipole approximation and show that diffraction-assisted formation bound states in continuum (BICs) can be controlled altering optical environment. Our shows when refractive index contrast Δn < -0.1, SLR cannot excited, while significant (Δn > 0.3) not only sustains plasmonic-induced but also forms both symmetry-protected accidental BICs. The results aid streamlined design lattices studies light-matter interactions applications biosensors optoelectronic devices.
