ABSTRACT
Plasmonic resonances in metallic nanostructures have been shown to drastically enhance local electromagnetic fields, and thereby increase the efficiency of nonlinear optical phenomena, such as second harmonic generation (SHG). While it has experimentally observed that enhanced fields can significantly boost SHG, date proved difficult probe electrical magnetic resonance one same nanostructure. This however is necessary directly compare relative contributions components SHG enhancement. In this paper we report an experimental study a metasurface capable providing resonant enhancement for TM polarization. Our could be engineered peak frequencies adjusted independently. We used feature distinguish their contributions. Experimentally was provides only 50% much compared electric resonance. addition aligning both frequency results conversion 1.32 x 10−10.
