ABSTRACT
In order to simply design a photonic crystal fiber (PCF), we provide numerically based empirical relations for V parameter and W of PCFs only dependent on the two structural parameters - air hole diameter pitch. We demonstrate accuracy these expressions by comparing proposed with results full-vector finite element method. Through can easily evaluate fundamental properties without need numerical computations.
