ABSTRACT
A high index dielectric nano-sphere can be excited and yet remain radiationless. method to excite the non-radiating anapole mode of a isotropic nanosphere is presented. With tightly focused radially polarized beam illumination, main-contributing electric dipole magnetic modes zero with only weak quadruple contributing total scattering. Further, standing wave illumination formed by two counter-propagating under $4\pi$ configuration, ideal radiationless ananpole excited.
