ABSTRACT
3D computer-generated holography uses a digital phase mask to shape the wavefront of laser beam into user-specified intensity pattern. Algorithms take target as input and compute hologram that generates it. However, arbitrary patterns are generally infeasible, so solutions approximate often sub-optimal. Here, we propose new non-convex optimization algorithm computes holograms by minimizing custom cost function is tailored particular applications (e.g., lithography, neural photostimulation) or leverages additional information like sample nonlinearity. Our method robust accurate, it out-performs existing algorithms.
