ABSTRACT
We report on an Yb:YAG thin-disk multipass amplifier delivering 50 ns long pulses at a central wavelength of 1030 nm with energy 330 mJ repetition rate 100 Hz. The beam quality factor the maximum was measured to be M² = 1.17. small signal gain is 20, and 6.9. 20-pass designed as concatenation stable resonator segments in which alternately Fourier transformed relay-imaged back disk by 4f-imaging optical scheme stage. transform propagation makes output robust against spherical phase front distortions, while 4f-stage used compensate thermal lens reduce footprint amplifier.
