ABSTRACT
Polarization beam splitters are pivotal in manipulating polarized light within photonic integrated circuits for various optical applications. This study introduces a single-mode polarization splitter composed of three waveguides realized with polymer materials. The device optimization process employed propagation method, explicitly using the RSoft CAD BeamProp solver. Our proposed performs exceptionally 99 % complete and null transmission efficiency. In particular, it demonstrates minimal insertion loss (0.04 dB 0.07 transmission) low coupling (0.03 0.04 transmission, 21.9 36.3 from input to bridge output waveguides, respectively). Additionally, showcases significantly reduced crosstalk: -27 -26.98 TE modes during transfer, -36.28 -33.61 TM transfer. These results underscore its potential advancing systems.
