ABSTRACT
We present space-time metamaterials as the natural successors to time-varying metamaterials, highlighting their additional properties and potential benefits. These metamaterials offer a virtually unlimited range of new challenges based on their dynamic levels, space-time structures, and velocity regimes. They particularly provide rich opportunities for transition engineering, enabling spectral transformations to control classical and quantum state transitions.
