ABSTRACT
In this work, we present a polarization-independent arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) spectrometer. By splitting the two orthogonal polarization portions in fiber system, then processing and merging these with an on-chip multi-input AWG, can demultiplex arbitrary polarized signal. Under case where powers of polarizations are close (50% TE/50% TM), spectrometer divides signal into eight channels insertion loss 2.2 dB resolving power 2800. We also discuss relationship between channel profile input separation. varying TE/TM ratio, our demonstrates its insensitivity stable throughput around 60%.
