ABSTRACT
We present a hybrid fiber/waveguide design for 100-MHz frequency comb that is fully self-referenced and temperature controlled with less than 5 W of electrical power. Self-referencing achieved by supercontinuum generation in silicon nitride waveguide, which requires much lower pulse energies (~200 pJ) highly nonlinear fiber. These low-energy pulses are an erbium fiber oscillator/amplifier pumped two 250-mW passively-cooled pump diodes consume The tuning the oscillator, necessary to stabilize repetition rate presence environmental changes, resistive heating section gold-palladium-coated within laser cavity. By only small thermal mass fiber, tuned over 4.2 kHz (corresponding effective change {\deg}C) fast time constant 0.5 s, at low power consumption 0.077 W/{\deg}C, compared 2.5 W/{\deg}C conventional 200-MHz design.
