Back-Propagation Neural Network-Based Guidance Algorithm for Photo-Magnetic Imaging

ABSTRACT
Photomagnetic imaging (PMI) employs near-infrared light to irradiate tissue and measures the induced temperature using MR thermometry (MRT). The MRT maps are then converted into absorption a dedicated reconstruction algorithm. Here, we present an AI-based method directly detect tumor boundaries from these use them as soft-a-priori in standard PMI Tests on phantoms showed nine-fold image acceleration, reducing artifacts by 15%, error ~2%.
