ABSTRACT
In this study, we found 985 genes that change expression in the cortex and medulla of kidney with age. Some whose transcripts increase abundance age are known to be specifically expressed immune cells, suggesting surveillance or inflammation increases The age-regulated show a similar aging profile medulla, common underlying mechanism for aging. Expression profiles these mark not only age, but also relative health physiology older individuals. Finally, set aging-regulated suggests specific mechanisms pathways may play role degeneration
